June 25th, 2011 | Category: kids, siblings | This is from another surprise Father’s Day session last month. Mom wasn’t sure she would be able to keep it a secret until Father’s Day…and she was right. She ended up giving them to dad as a birthday present the week before Father’s Day :-)
Anyway – these kids were awesome. Big brother L was all business and was a perfect model, even trying to get his brother J to look and smile when he was supposed to. It was so funny.
And here they are – the handsome R boys!

May 9th, 2011 | Category: infant, studio | My first non-family session in the studio was this a-dor-able blue-eyed bundle of sweetness. I can’t really stand the blue eyes! She is just starting to crawl and was almost not interested in sitting still but luckily she wasn’t too mobile yet. Plus…I had my secret weapon…
My daughter wants to be my helper all the time. She was wonderful this session because baby E loved watching my M being silly!

May 9th, 2011 | Category: kids, studio | In case you missed the news, I am excited to announce that I have the gear to do studio sessions in my home. My first love is and always will outdoor sessions with natural light, but I am excited about the flexibility this will offer me during the long winter, when it’s really hard to photograph little kids outside in 0* temps and snow.
Here is one of my first pictures with my new studio equipment. This is, um, my daughter, doing what she does when I ask her to pose for just “one more picture”. Nice, huh?
My studio sessions are reserved for littler kids but contact me today if you have a little kid who’d like to be photographed in my new studio ;-)
April 12th, 2011 | Category: birthday, family, kids, siblings | This was the second time I had the pleasure of photographing this adorable family. E & G just celebrated their first birthday – and they could not have been more different. While G was full of smiles & giggles, his sister E was having NOTHING to do with me and my camera but she warmed up at the end and gave me this lovely toe eating shot :-) Big brother C was looking cool in his sport coat.
I mean honestly.
Could they be any cuter?

March 3rd, 2011 | Category: newborn | I had the total pleasure of spending time with this sweet little girl on Monday. I used to work with her dad and I couldn’t be more excited to take pictures of M & R’s new addition.
Little girl C was a whopping 9 lbs when she was born. I can’t wait to see if she ends up with her mom’s awesome eye color!

January 26th, 2011 | Tags: Valentines | Category: family, kids, siblings | If you are a fan of my Facebook page, you probably saw my post this past weekend about an outdoor session I had in the freezing cold. (If you aren’t a fan of my Facebook page – I suggest you go check it out and click “LIKE” – that way you will be sure to hear about any sales and promotions I have coming up this spring!)
So – back to the cold session. These two boys spend a lot of time playing pond hockey in their backyard, but also appreciated the hot chocolate that awaited them after their outdoor session. Photographing boys this age is pretty fun – they take direction well, and are easily impressed when the learn that I play hockey :-)

November 19th, 2010 | Category: family, infant | I think it’s pretty cool to photograph a family friend’s baby, when you remember that family friend being a baby himself!
I’ve known sweet L’s daddy for forever and he & his wife asked me to come take some 6-month pictures of their little girl. She was so cute and fun – she’s just starting to be mobile and was beyond adorable.

November 17th, 2010 | Category: kids, toddler | Just some more troopers from the freezing cold session marathon on Sunday.
Despite the chilly temps – these kids were SO.MUCH.FUN. J & S were the cutest explorers and I enjoyed chasing after them through the woods!
I have to apologize to their mom just in case they didn’t follow my “we can only say the silly smile stuff while I’m taking your pictures” rule when they got home ;-)
